This strategic pivot aims to provide these enterprises with crucial certifications that are essential for their growth and sustainability. By facilitating access to certifications that enhance credibility and visibility in the marketplace, the DFW Business Council seeks to equip these businesses with the tools they need to thrive. Below are certification offerings available through DFW Business Council.
The NMSDC MBE Certification Process
The NMSDC MBE certification is the most accepted ethnic minority certification by procurement professionals in the corporate and government sectors.
You can now manage your MBE certification using the NMSDC HUB which includes:
- Starting your recertification application up to 90 days before your current certification expires.
- Continuing a new application that was started in the previous system before September 24, 2025.
- Starting a completely new certification.

SBE – SBE Plus –
State of Texas HUB Certifications
The DFW Business Council is proud to announce the availability of Small Business Administration SBE (Small Business Enterprise) and SBE Plus certifications aimed specifically at supporting under-resourced, under-financed, and under-scaled businesses in the North Texas area. The SBE Plus certification provides the additional add-on components requested by our public sector members, i.e. DFW International Airport, Dallas County, City of Forth Worth, etc.
The Council continues to offer Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) certification for the State of Texas. HUB allows you be aware and engage in business with State of Texas Agencies and Universities.
